Heavenly Henna was founded by Ms. Artemis. W who’s also the art director & chief designer of 瑷尔墨思 WORKSHOP back in 2011 in Shanghai. Aiming to promote traditional Indian-style natural henna body art, Heavenly Henna provides professional training courses, as well as henna tattoo services to those who truly appreciate and are passionate toward this form of body art. Heavenly Henna has now joined Fantian as one of its brand.

About the founder

Artemis is an international natural henna artist, she was a disciple of the Singaporean-Indian henna artist Ms. Padma Verma and has been servicing as a professional henna artist since 2011.

Artemis worked with many internationally renowned brands such as Levi’s, Liverpool Football Club, Greenland Group, Guoman Hotel, NOVO and etc. for their commercial events. She was also invited as guest of honor for many art and festival events to give lectures on henna tattoo and showcasing this exquisite body art.

Artemis facilitates henna workshops and seminars at libraries, schools and luxury hotels and renders henna body art at parties, picnics, proms, graduation and corporate events. Artemis also attends henna body art conventions to keep up on trending henna designs and techniques.

What is Henna

Henna* is an Arabic word for the process of applying a paste made from the ground leaves of a woody shrub that thrives in hot, dry climates. Its Latin name is Lawsonia inermis and it is also referred to as Mehndi in many parts of India. It is thought to have originated in Egypt and was brought to India and other countries by merchants and nomads.

*Henna (Arabic: حِنَّاء‎) is a dye prepared from the plant, also known as hina, the henna tree, the mignonette tree, and the Egyptian privet, the sole species of the genus Lawsonia.

Henna is one of the oldest cosmetics ever used and is very safe. Heavenly Henna applies henna only to people age six and over. Henna can be a wonderful blessing for pregnant women too.

Remember, there is NO such thing as “black henna”! The so-called “black henna” is adding PPD hair dye into henna paste to produce a jet-black stain in just minutes, and is often done in touristy beach areas and is common in some countries. It is a toxic chemical. It can cause allergic reactions, permanent scars and internal damage. True natural henna smells grassy and herbal and is a green/brown paste that stains an orange-red-brown.
